UPCOMING EVENT – OCTOBER 2026

HFA Programme

Actionable learning
AT YOUR PACE

Gain a clearer understanding of UK university pathways,
knowledge of what makes a great application,
confidence about your next steps.

First, an online course, Making a Personal Impact, helps students build the communication skills they will need for university applications, interviews, online sessions and future academic life.

Students work through three practical lessons: communication fundamentals, power writing, and communication in real situations. They explore how to organise ideas, ask better questions, write with clarity and impact, use email well, take part in video calls, and make a strong impression face to face.

The aim is to help students express themselves with more confidence, maturity and purpose. By the end of the unit, they are better prepared to introduce themselves, share their ambitions, contribute to discussion and present their ideas clearly.

What: A live online session on October 29, with one of our Leadership Coaches, providing an opportunity to brainstorm how to complete a strong Personal Statement, and pitfalls to avoid.

How: Students will be able to see a demonstration of how to complete a Personal Statement and make it unique, ask questions and join in a group discussion in a supportive environment.

Aim: Participants are better prepared to confidently complete a competitive Personal Statement that authentically reflects them in the best light to make them stand out to university recruiters.

Second, a live online session on October 22 gives students the chance to hear directly from university admissions teams and African students already studying in the UK.

The sessions go beyond standard university information found in a prospectus. Students can ask practical, honest questions about applications, courses, interviews, student life, accommodation, money, culture, confidence, homesickness and making friends in a new country.

The aim is to make the UK university route feel clearer, more real and more achievable. Students leave with better insight into what universities are looking for and a stronger sense of what life in the UK could actually feel like.

For young people aged 15–18

Top universities are actively looking for more students from Africa. They want your perspective, your ambition and your story.

High Fliers Academy helps you give them exactly that so you don’t have to guess your way through your application. In two focused units, you will develop the skills, confidence and knowledge to present yourself so that you really get seen.

Affordable. Online. Open to all.

A generation knows its time is coming

Growing up fast and aiming high

You knew this day would come, but so soon? Applying to university no longer a distant concern?

Our two-unit programme gives your son or daughter honest, practical preparation: personal statement development, self-presentation skills along with direct conversations with university admissions teams and current scholars about what studying in the UK really involves.

Whether they have a clear plan or are still working one out, it is never too early to prepare and never too late to start. What matters is that they arrive at their decision well-informed – and genuinely ready.

Is this right for your child? Can you answer YES to one or more of the following questions?

Is your child thinking seriously about UK university?

Does your child need practical preparation, not just encouragement?

Does your child need practical preparation, not just encouragement?

Would your child appreciate honest insight from people who are already there?

If so, please consider getting them onboard to take part in our next event.

Structured time to think, write and ask questions

A big boost
for your
Bright sparks

You have seen it before. A student with real ability, genuine ambition and a sense that the world has more to offer them than their immediate surroundings. You believe in them.

But international university guidance, particularly for country-specific applications, requires a depth of specialist, up-to-date knowledge that falls outside most schools’ careers counselling remit.

High Fliers Academy is here to strengthen your efforts, providing informed and focused preparation that helps your most internationally ambitious students become confident, application-ready candidates.

We know that anything you pass on to students and families reflects on you. That is why HFA is built around substance. Our two-unit programme gives internationally ambitious young people honest, practical preparation and builds real awareness rather than unrealistic expectations.

Students come away with a clearer understanding of the UK application process, stronger personal statement skills, and direct insight from university admissions teams and current African scholars. They are better informed, better prepared, and better placed to make decisions that are right for them.

  • Live sessions with university admissions teams: what they look for, and why they want more students from Africa
  • Focused guidance on UK university applications and personal statements
  • Direct conversations with African students already studying in the UK
  • Self-presentation and communication skills that serve students well beyond the application
  • A realistic, honest picture of what student life in the UK actually involves

HFA complements your existing provision without adding to your workload. We handle the specialist guidance. You retain the relationship with your students and families.

Our well-structured programme helps the right students move from ambition to action, whilst being affordable for families.

Straightforward to explain. Easy to recommend.

HFA works best for students aged 15–18 who are seriously considering UK university study, whether they have a clear target in mind or are still exploring their options.

It is particularly useful for students who have the ability and the drive but need specialist support to understand the route and build their confidence. If you have many students like that, we would be glad to hear from you about enrolling a number of students at the same time.
